Step 1
Register on The Economist website: myaccount.economist.com/s/login/SelfRegister using your academic institution email address. Please use the address with @htw-berlin.de at the end. 

Step 2
Once you’ve registered, you will receive a verification email titled “You’ve been given an Economist subscription” from no-reply@economist.com. This email contains a link to verify your email address. It is essential to complete this verification to activate your subscription successfully.

Step 3
You will then be returned to economist.com and will have full access to enjoy the subscription

During the trial, you can explore the full breadth of our digital subscription, including:

• Unrestricted access to all articles and publications available on economist.com
• The Economist app, which allows you to read on mobile devices and tablets for easy access on the go
• Curated email newsletters that provide highlights and summaries of key articles
• Insightful podcasts that cover a variety of topics including global affairs, business, technology, culture, and more

HTW Berlin participates in the contract with the publisher Elsevier. Since January 1, 2024, members of the HTW Berlin have reading access to almost the publisher's entire portfolio and can also publish open access in Elsevier magazines.

Please note: The free use of the journals is only possible within the intranet and via institutional login (Shibboleth). Search for the institution directly within the login process on the site and log in with your HTW account.
